Overview

Penelope ("the app") is designed with your privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. This policy explains how the app handles the information it accesses on your device.

Contacts

Penelope requests access to your device's contact list solely to display and randomly select a contact for you each day. Your contacts are read directly on your device and are never transmitted to any server, shared with any third party, or stored outside of your phone. Penelope does not upload, sync, or back up your contacts anywhere.

Notifications

Penelope sends you a local daily reminder notification. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and do not involve any external servers or services.

Data Storage

The only data Penelope stores is saved locally on your device using iOS standard storage (UserDefaults). This includes your daily contact pick, recent pick history, and notification preferences. This data never leaves your device.

Third-Party Services

Penelope does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or data collection services.

Children's Privacy

Penelope does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The app does not collect personal information from any users.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes in a future version of the app, the updated policy will be posted at this URL with a revised date.
